The Trocars is not an "organized
motorcycle club" per se, rather a group of funeral industry professionals who have united through their love of riding.
The group officially started in 1998 when founding
members, Ron and Chris began the group after Ron purchased his 1993 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. From that
point on the group grew to a select few who would go on rides at any chance they got.
Today, The Trocars have expanded their membership to 30 plus
with members in Oregon, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Texas and Kentucky. Most recently, we now have
expanded into New Jersey and Iowa with chapters forming in those states.
Local
Illinois membership is now extended to riders who are not in the funeral industry. A non funeral service
professional can enter the group as long as he/she is vouched for by a current member.
Thanks to nationwide exposure from The Director funeral service
magazine, the interest in the Trocars has grown tremendously. We have weekly Wednesday night dinner rides scheduled
throughout the riding season, a Spring meeting, BBQ, annual fish fry and a family Christmas party. This winter we will
be meeting bi-monthly starting in January for dinner and planning the 2010 season.
All club events are available to a dues paying member. Initiation
cost is 50.00 for first year which entitles you to a custom embroidered Trocars patch for your vest/jacket, a yearly membership
patch, discounted authentic Trocars merchandise, weekly dinner rides and all other benefits and activities of the group.
Renewal of membership is each April for a 50.00 yearly renewal fee for Illinois members, and 20.00 renewal for
out of state members. Life membership is also available for a one time fee.
We have a full line of merchandise including, tees, tanks, sweatshirts,
hoodies, work shirts, baseball caps and winter beanies all with our logo for sale.
The pack has grown over the last year and we are still looking
to grow. Come out on a Wednesday evening in the riding season and meet everyone, we'd love to have you. Any questions
you can email Mike or Willie.
